The steps to become an APC candidate for 2025 election are as follows:
To become a candidate for election for the parent, student, or the higher education representative seats, one must inform the election committee by emailing a brief statement of interest to Frontier Charter School Administrative Assistant Carli Hook at <[email protected]>. This email must be received by 11:59 p.m., May 5, 2025.

ELECTION TIMELINE
MAY 5 The applicant’s Statement of Interest must be received by Frontier Charter School no later than May 5, 2025.
MAY 9 Voting begins. Frontier Charter School will distribute ballots by email, during May 9, 2025.
JUNE 2 Send your completed ballot by e-mail to Carli Hook at <[email protected]> by 11:59 p.m., June 2, 2025.
JUNE 3 The votes will be counted and the candidates will be informed of the election results on June 3, 2025. The election committee report will be kept at the school office and made available for review.
Summer learning opportunities for pre-K- 12th.
ASD is offering many options for all student this summer. Elementary kids can get extra help with reading and high school student can earn credit or explore potential careers and more. Visit the ASD site HERE to learn more.
For High Schoolers:
In-Person ASD Summer School
Who: Credit Recovery ONLY
Where: Offered at all High Schools
When: May 27-June 9 or June 2-12, AM and PM sessions (dates and times vary by location)
What: Up to 2 semester courses, Lunch provided between sessions
Cost: FREE
Virtual Summer School
Who: Credit Recovery, Grade Improvement, or First Attempt
Where: Online at home
When: June 2 - July 18th
What: Up to 2 semester courses
Cost: $200 from allotment
*Students may complete 2 in-person classes and 2 virtual classes for a total of 4 semester credits!

Calling all readers! The book list for next year's Battle of the Books has been published by the state librarians' association.
If you are looking for some great summer reads, you and your reader(s) may want to check these titles out.

Registration for the Anchorage School District is now open in your Parent Connect Account. All students planning on continuing with Frontier Charter or another ASD school for the 2025/26 school year need to register.
1) Log in with your pin and password. Use the links on the login page if you have forgotten them.
2) CLICK on a student's name.
3) Look for "Online Registration 2026 Incomplete" in red letters under "ASD Quick Links" and click those red letters.
4) Choose the green register button next to your student's name. Complete the registration and sign at the end.
You will get an email confirmation from "[email protected]." If you don't see it, look in your junk mail.
We have almost made it to the end of the school year. Parents, you deserve a pat on the back and a, "Job well done!" We truly appreciate how hard our parents and students have worked throughout the year. The finish line is within sight!
Grades for graduating seniors are due TODAY, May 2nd and grades for our K-11th grade students, May 9th. Your advisor will be sending out email reminders too. Here is the link to our grade forms. Please fill them out and return them to your advisor by the appropriate deadline. If you have questions, concerns, or need an extension please let your advisor know.

The i-Ready spring diagnostic will be available this Monday! If you are using i-Ready at home or would like to use the diagnostic to track academic growth, your student can now log in and begin the latest diagnostic. Remember, you can start and stop this as often as necessary. When your student is finished just email your advisor and ask for the results.
