Dear Leasure Families,
This is a friendly reminder about our upcoming Leasure Annual Picnic on June 2nd, 2025. To ensure another successful event, please review the following important details:
• Parents planning to attend the picnic should sign up using this link: https://bit.ly/4kvLm0f
• We need to know who is attending so we can inform students and prepare them for the picnic.
• Parents and guardians are welcome to attend. Please note that the Parking lots open at 10:50 a.m. and the gate will close at 12:30 p.m.
• Parents are reminded to bring picnic blankets, foldable chairs and food to eat and/or share with their student.
• Students will receive a school lunch, or parents may bring food
• The picnic will be held outside near the playgrounds.
• Students should bring a blanket or towel to sit on the grass.
• Please do not send lawn or picnic chairs with your student to school
• Please do not bring footballs or any kind of balls to the picnic, as no football games will be played due to limited space and a lack of staff available to supervise.
• Students will be coming outside with their class after picking up their lunch (if needed), after 11:05 a.m. All students will be outside by 11:30 a.m.
• All visitors should follow staff directions for parking and the check-in process.
• IDs will be required for early dismissals. You may sign your student out under the RED TENT and obtain a wristband for your student.

We’re excited to announce our End-of-Year PBS Celebration taking place on June 3rd, 2025! Students who have earned and cashed out their Bear Paws will be participating in this fun-filled event.

This celebration is our way of recognizing students for being outstanding ambassadors of our Leasure Core Values:

Dear Kindergarten Parents and Guardians,

We are thrilled to celebrate the incredible growth and accomplishments of our Leasure Kindergarten Bears as they prepare to move up to first grade! The Kindergarten Move-Up Ceremonies will be held on Friday, June 6, 2025 from 9:30am-11:30am. Due to space limitations in our school cafeteria, each student may invite up to four guests to attend the ceremony. Each student will receive four personalized tickets in advance. All guests must bring their ticket and a photo ID to enter. Tickets will be checked and collected at the door. We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with you!

Dear Leasure Families,

We are excited to celebrate the hard work and accomplishments of our students in grades 1 through 4 during our End-of-Year Award Ceremonies on Monday, June 9, 2025. Parents of students receiving awards will be notified by their child’s homeroom teacher. Award Ceremony Schedule:

• 9:40 AM – Grade 1

• 10:20 AM – Grade 2

• 1:50 PM – Grade 4

• 2:40 PM – Grade 3

Dear Grade 5 Parents and Guardians,

We are so excited to celebrate the growth and accomplishments of our Leasure Bears as they prepare to move on to the next chapter of their educational journey. Our 5th Grade Move-Up Ceremonies will be held on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, from 9:30am-11:00am. Due to space limitations in our school cafeteria, each student may invite up to four guests to attend the ceremony. Each student will receive four personalized tickets in advance. All guests must present their ticket and a photo ID upon arrival. We look forward to celebrating this special milestone with you!

As part of a statewide initiative to improve our student information systems, Christina School District will be transitioning to the new Infinite Campus platform. Our current system, eSchool, will no longer be available after June 18. To ensure a smooth transition and to stay on schedule for entering end-of-year grades, we will be adjusting a few important dates for Marking Period 4. Please refer to the lists below for details on these changes.

Important New Dates for Families

• June 10 - Marking Period 4 will end (original date: June 11)

• June 17 - Report Cards will be available on HAC at 11 AM (original date: June 18)

• June 11 - Last day of school (no change)

• June 24 - HAC will close, but report cards will also be mailed home to families

As the school year draws to a close, we want to remind you that all technology devices issued to students will be collected prior to the start of summer break. Please be aware that families will be held responsible for any damages incurred to these devices. Please see the technology agreement on our website.

We kindly ask that you encourage your children to handle their devices with care and avoid any intentional damage. Please be aware that any damage to Chromebooks may result in financial responsibility and, in some cases, disciplinary action. Taking proper care of these devices ensures they remain in excellent working condition for all students to enjoy. Thank you for your support and cooperation in helping us maintain our technology resources.

Summer reading workbooks will be provided for students in Kindergarten through Grade 4 during the first week of June.

Fifth grade students will receive a summer reading book and accompanying project as they prepare to transition to middle school. Grade 5 teachers will distribute the book and related assignments directly to students.
